My name is Derek Gusoff, and I work as a consultant for Rightpoint. I design and build innovative web-based solutions using SharePoint, Office 365, Azure, Sitecore, and other platforms and tools.
I got into technical consulting because I love technology and writing code to solve problems. I excel at it because I love meeting new people and working with them to leverage technology to overcome their unique business challenges.
I have worked with small companies and large global enterprises covering a wide variety of industries. I’m at my best when working directly with the customer to identify, prototype, build, refine, deploy and support robust solutions that provide real business value.
I live in semi-rural Southeast Michigan with my wife and two three four kids.
I started this blog as a place to catalog interesting and unique solutions I have come up with in my experiences. I owe much of my previous success to the generosity of others posting their insights to the Internet , and hope that whatever I can contribute back will help others as well.

hey, i saw your post about your water heater with rust on the burner, did you ever find out what the problem is, I have the same problem?

LOL, no, I never did. I have to take that thing off and shake off the rust about once or twice a year. It’s been going on for two or three years now. In my case it’s not that big a deal, I’ve just learned to live with it. Good luck!
